The Jacetania is one of the municipalities with the biggest ski tradition in Spain. In it´s domains exist Jaca and Candanchu in the Pyrenees. This area is located in the northeast of Huesca in the Aragon Pyrenees bordering with the province of Navarra. The population of Candanchu and the surrounding towns and city of Jaca is of about 20,000 inhabitants. This is counting Jaca, Canfranc, Aisa, Hecho Valley and Salvatierra de Esca amongst others.
Collarada Pico is the highest point measuring 2886 meters and holds the two most important ski resorts of Candanchu and Astun. |
